Football Performance Analyst

The Role

A Football Performance Analyst will watch games live and post-match from the comfort of their own home, collecting data using our proprietary bespoke data collection platform The data you collect will play an important role within our live trading models. You will analyse tactics, assess how teams are playing both in attack and defence and use your expertise to judge a variety of unique data points. This is an excellent opportunity to work with and learn from an experienced team of innovators in this field.

  • Full training will be given on how to collect a variety of unique data points using our bespoke data collection platform.
  • It will be incredibly difficult to combine this role with an already existing full-time job.
  • Strong performance and availability may result in an increase in games covered and possible progression into further football analysis roles at Paradine.
  • The role is that of a contractor with payment on a per game basis. 
  • Payment is competitive within the market. 
  • The role is 100% remote with no location restrictions. 

 

About you/essential requirements

  • You have a good comprehension of football analysis.
  • You are always available to cover a minimum of 3 live games played in the afternoons UK time across a weekend and available to fill in post-match details on a Monday and Tuesday.
  • Are able to clearly speak, write and understand English so that feedback can be understood and applied.
  • You have a fast and reliable internet connection.
  • You have access to two screens. One for data collection and one for match video.
  • You are able to concentrate for extended periods and have high levels of accuracy when it comes to data collection.
  • You are able to work independently.
  • You are able to stay calm under pressure.
  • You have no conflict of interest and are not currently or intending in future to undertake any work for a company in a similar field (such as Data Collection with a link to betting). 
  • You have not failed in an application for a role with Paradine in the last 12 months.

 

Being available to work weekends, especially Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon, and also evenings is essential due to the nature of football and when games are typically played. The job can be combined with other roles but being available to work at these times is absolutely key. You should only apply if you are regularly available to work on Saturday and Sunday.
